Oil recycling project in Congo completed successfully

The project for Perenco, the thermal ex-situ treatment of the heavily oil-contaminated soil on their previous production site in Kinkazi, Congo, has now been successfully completed. The approach has been to maximize the recovery of the oil, i.a. by using a condensation system, transferring the off-gas into liquid oil again. Up to 70 % of the oil was recycled. In total 10 batches of about 36 400 tons were treated in a continuous process, producing on average 25 barrels of crude oil per day.
