🔝 We have started the treatment of the 4th pile on our site in Strasbourg, France. ✔️ We are applying Ex-Situ Thermal Desorption (ESTD) to remediate the soil contaminated with Hydrocarbons and Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs). 🌡️ The desired treatment temperature is 250°C. 77 burners are heated to treat 2000m³ of soil. We have introduced a system of continuous monitoring of stack emissions. As soon as we approach the threshold, an alert is triggered, enabling us to take immediate action to resolve the...

🔝 We have finished the treatment of our Dynamic Skimming project in Seneffe, Belgium. The origin of this contamination was from a fuel oil tank filling problem. ⚙️ The treatment depth was 2 meters and 675m³ had to be treated. 3 skimmers were used to remediate the site. The underground water was pumped during 6 months to treat the fuel oil contamination. 🤝 We were working on this project site with M-Tech !

🔝 We have finished the treatment on our site in Etterbeek, Brussels. ✔️ We were applying In-Situ Thermal Desorption (ISTD) to remediate the soil contaminated with Hydrocarbons (C10-C40). The pollution was located in the cellar of a private home. 🌡️ The desired treatment temperature was 220°C and 4 burners were heated during 37 days to treat 20m³ of soil. 🤝 We were working on this project site with

AKKO Pilot – ISRAEL

admin2023-12-06T12:37:14+02:00

The project was located in Israël, in Haifa Bay on a large disaffected chemical industrial factory made of many decaying buildings. The purpose of this pilot project was to assess the feasibility of thermal desorption for treating mercury contaminated soil using the Smart BurnerTM Technology. Haemers Technologies has designed a pilot plant composed of two main unit: - A thermal pile of 275m³ composed of 15 Propane Smart Burners - A Vapor Treatment Unit (VTU) where Mercury and VOCs were captured in activated carbon Tanks or...

The project is located in Belgium (gps coordinates: ‘50.434913n, ‘3.85913e). The domestic fuel oil tank leaked and contaminated the ground under the cellar and next to the house in the garden with hydrocarbons. The site is divided into 2 parts, one part under the house in the cellar, and one part outside in the bore designed to place the oil tank. The house will still be inhabited during the works of depollution in cellar where 4 burners have been placed. the...

The site is a disaffected building which faith is to be rebuild for housing and is contaminated with chlorinated solvent. The contamination has been emitted by an aluminum refining process. The site is composed of two distinct rooms for a total of 60m². A 2m soil layer has been excavated from one of the rooms and then has been backfilled with sand cement/concrete. Even there’s a 2m layer of clean soil, for such shallow depth, the heat has to start...

HEERLEN – THE NETHERLANDS

admin2022-09-13T16:16:54+02:00

The infested materials at the treatment site contains Japanese knotweed rhizomes, known as a parasitic plant species in Europe. The site is located on the roadside in the municipality of Heerlen in the Netherlands where a small plant of Japanese knotweed was growing. The treatment objective is to reach a certain temperature to prevent the growth of new plants through these rhizomes and stop its invasion. There are two specificities in this project: no vapor tubes since no polluted vapor and...

BIEN HOA – VIETNAM

During the US-Vietnam War, millions of liters of herbicides were dropped over Vietnam: The Rainbow agents. Agent Orange was proven to cause severe health issues, including birth defects, neurological problems and cancers. More than four decades after the Vietnam War ended (in 1975), the stability and bioaccumulation of dioxins - originating from agent orange - still affect the inhabitants. The Center for Technology Environmental Treatment/Chemical Force (CTET/CF), the GAET Corporation and HAEMERS Technologies SA agreed to establish a joint operation to...
