The site of the Oslo Varemesse (Exhibition hall) was a former creosote plant, and needed extensive treatment before the construction could start. The clean-up project was contracted to JV Selmer/Skanska - Deconterra, a Norwegian consortium. The consortium did all the excavation works, as well as the soil washing treatment on site.
