Brussels – Belgium

Context & Project Description

The site was located in a residential area in Brussels. The pollution was caused by the leakage of a buried fuel oil tank. The tank was inerted in 2016. The soil reconnaissance study (2016) and the detailed study (2017) revealed oil pollution in the land surrounding the tank. The polluted area was mainly located in the driveway of a private house and partly under the building. It extended over an area of 28m² and down to 7,5 m below ground.
