🎤 BX1, recently interviewed our CEO, Jan Haemers, to examine the situation of metal shredders in Brussels. The possibility of a new metal recycling company near the canal in Neder-Over-Heembeek is causing concern in the local community.

💡 Existing metal shredders in the neighborhood have caused noise disturbance, but residents’ main concern is the risk of air pollution. Apprehensions are reinforced by RTBF revelations concerning the high levels of carcinogenic pollutants detected among metal recyclers in Wallonia.

Residents insist on the need for regular monitoring of the impact of industrial activity on their community, believing that this is the only measure that can eliminate any danger to health.
