SITE UPDATE : GELA REFINERY, ITALY

We have finished the treatment of the last zone (24 zones treated) of VASCA A in the Ex-discharge of the Gela refinery in Sicily.

Waiting for the results of the last zones, our client has validated more than 85% (15% still waiting for results).

We applied In-Situ Thermal Desorption (ISTD) to remediate the soil contaminated with Heavy Hydrocarbons and Mercury (150.000 Tons).

The desired treatment temperature was 250°C and an average of 200 burners were heating to treat 9500 tons of soil per zone.

We worked on this project site with Icaro and SIMAM.
