Haemers Technologies in the media L1mburg Centraal

admin2022-07-06T15:40:05+02:00

We are honoured for our appearance on the media L1mburg which shared a video of our presence in the site of Heerlen, where we are treating by thermal desorption Japanese knotweed, an invasive, non-native plant in Europe. As a reminder, we are currentlyt collaborating with Thermal Clean Shift  on this project in order to eradicate  Japanese knotweed in Heerlen ( Netherlands) using our Smart Burners technology.   We are obviously flattered that L1mburg Centraal mentions Haemers Technologies as a hope...

NEW SITE ALERT: ISTD FOR JAPANESE KNOTWEED IN HEERLEN

admin2022-06-29T14:56:40+02:00

We are treating Japanese knotweed by thermal desorption in Heerlen, the Netherlands. Japanese knotweed (Fallopia japonica) is an invasive, non-native plant in Europe. The plant spreads through stem parts and rhizomes, causing damage to ecosystems, infrastructure and buildings. The municipality of Heerlen is mapping the locations where knotweed grows, and applying management measures and controls. With this unique pilot, the municipality of Heerlen and its partners want to investigate whether this unwanted exotic plant can be thermally controlled. To eradicate this harmful plant,...

NEW SITE ALERT: ISTD IN QUAREGNON, BELGIUM

admin2022-07-25T14:51:59+02:00

A new In Situ Thermal Desorption site is underway in Quaregnon, Belgium. The origin of the contamination is from a residential oil tank and a volume of 40m³ has to be treated. Six burners are at work to treat hydrocarbon contaminated soil. Our thermal desorption technology can be applied anywhere you need it as you can see! Urban sites (outdoor or under a building), large scale sites: you name it! Thanks to our committed team...

NEW SITE ALERT: ISTD IN EAST KENT, UK

admin2022-04-14T11:17:09+02:00

We started a new ISTD project (In Situ), in East Kent, UK, in partnership with Ecologia. We are assisting Ecologia's treatment installation (steam injection & air sparging) with the In Situ Thermal Desorption method at depths up to 30 meters with the combustion chambers localised at 9 meters and 22 meters below ground level. There are approximately 8000 tons of benzene contaminated soils. 16 burners, 5 meters apart, will be necessary to remediate the site. This is further...

During the US-Vietnam War, millions of liters of herbicides were dropped over Vietnam: The Rainbow agents. Those Rainbow Agents were sprayed throughout the Operation Ranch Hand to clear thick jungle, by defoliating crops and forest. Among these Rainbow agents, Agent Orange was proven to cause severe health issues, including birth defects, neurological problems and cancers. Indeed, Agent Orange contained dioxins which are highly toxic environmental persistent organic pollutants. More than four decades after the Vietnam War ended (in 1975), the stability and...
